Here they stand, toe-to-toe, stem-to-stem, Eggplants facing off for a Sumo Eggplant wrestling match!
Yikes!
Well, these eggplants at Basha's are a classic Home Run Ball. Susun thinks they are the best eggplants she has ever seen. I just asked her again and she said, "By Far, Absolutely!" Well, since she is an Eggplant Fan from Way Back, that's quite a compliment. I don't have nearly the experience with Eggplants that Susun does but they sure look pretty darn good to me, too.
Everything about them reeks of quality and class, especially the price--88 cents each. Susun has a great recipe for roasted eggplant. Her roasted eggplant turns these Sumo Wrestlers into the tastiest morsels you can imagine!
Well, moving on to the rest of our brief Basha's experience today--we were surprised to see Shamrock 2% milk for $2 a gallon, It was code dated for yet another week so no problem there. We picked up a nice tray pack of the bone-in chicken breasts for $5. As we suspected most of them are in the $5-6 range. We picked up some Comet cleanser and a two-liter bottle of Diet 7-Up, We spent $11 and saved $11 and that's the goal--to save 50%. Then we grabbed some boxed wine at CVS and boogied home hugging our Sumo Eggplants all the way.
Many Cheers, jp
