Beware Safeway

Remember those two words; "Beware Safeway."  Safeway is, by far, the most expensive grocery store in Arizona.  Albertson's runs a distant second to Safeway's absurd prices.

Under NO circumstances should Safeway be your primary grocery store.  You can easily spend 30 to 50 percent more at Safeway than at other nearby stores.

We do shop at Safeway and we do save lots of money at Safeway.  However, shopping at Safeway is a SKILL.  Call it the Skill of The Surgical Strike.  You have to know precisely which items you are buying in Safeway.  You have to go in and buy ONLY those items and NOTHING else.  Then you have to ring up your purchase and get out of there as fast as possible to avoid picking up even one "impulse item."

Trust me, you can save a lot of money doing surgical strikes on Safeway.  However, the flip side is true--you can get hosed through the nose if you attempt to do your regular grocery shopping at Safeway.  You might as well be throwing your money down a storm drain if your shop in Safeway for anything other than surgical strike items.

We will discuss Safeway in MUCH more detail soon but we wanted to get this warning posted as soon as possible.

BEWARE SAFEWAY!

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Please, Dear Friends & Readers, be well aware that each and every Safeway Store is run by Great People who care deeply about their customers.  Their Customer Service is without peer in the grocery industry.  That is what you are paying for when you shop there.  Each of the key Safeway Staff goes WAY BACK and each and everyone of them treats you like a Friend.  That's "All About Safeway."

However, the Corporate Level of Safeway is a WHOLE different matter!!!  Safeway's Corporate approach to prices is abhorrent and largely reprehensible.  Let us not forget that the people who make your Safeway tick have nothing whatsoever to do with whatever "Corporate" does.

So, whatever we say about Safeway is totally directed to "Corporate" and NOT the local Staff of the Cottonwood or Sedona stores.)
