LOJO got no mojo
We tested out the Smith's LOJO sweet corn tonight. We had high hopes for this corn. Sadly, we rank this corn very low on the corn totem pole. I'd give it perhaps a 4 on the ten scale and that might be a generous assessment. It sure looked good in the store and even after I shucked it. But the proof is in the actual taste after boiling it. It actually toughened up the longer the boil. The 3 minute corn was maybe a 5 on the ten scale and then it went downhill as the boil time increased. We wouldn't recommend this corn to anyone for the weekend. We will continue our Memorial Day Imperial Valley corn research. Surely, somebody had a decent ear of corn right now. When it comes to corn, we are relentless! Afterall, we grew up in Indiana in the heart of the Cornbelt. We know corn!
